As it gets hotter, people are finding ways to stay cool this summer while still soaking up the sun.
Some families were even out playing hooky with their kids from school because of how nice it was. But that doesn't mean they're not being responsible.
Lainie Green, a mother walking with her two kids along the riverwalk, says, "So, we're at the river a lot, so I just load up on sunscreen and we'll jump in, and lots and lots of water."
Davina Longan, a young girl watching her grandpa play at a senior baseball tournament with her grandma, says, "Another way is if you don't want the sun getting in your eyes, you can also wear sunglasses."
Regardless of the heat, many people continued to stay active outside, like going for long walks, running, and playing sports.
If you decide to spend time outdoors, remember to carry enough water for yourself, your children, and your pets.
In addition to sunscreen and glasses, some people have other methods of dealing with the heat.
Zack Jones, a Reno resident, says, "I'm trying to be at the lakes as much as possible. Just trying to stay cool, stay in the water, doing all the watercraft stuff, just trying to stay in the shade if I'm not in the water."
Kelly and Holly are sisters walking in Barbera Park.
Kelly says, "Going in some shade and water."
Holly adds, "Staying well hydrated, maybe the swimming pool."
The sisters are visiting from Minnesota. They say the heat is a little more bearable here in Nevada because of how dry it is.
So, always try and look on the bright side, and with your sunglasses like Davina mentioned.
