New entry protocols for all performances at the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts will take effect on Tuesday.
Starting on October 21, with the opening night of the musical "& Juliet,"Â enhanced screening will be in place at all entrances to the venue.
The enhanced screening will remain in effect for all future events at the Pioneer Center.
Screening procedures will include walkthrough metal detectors at all entrances.
Anyone with medical devices or accessibility issues that can't pass through the metal detectors can instead use what the venue refers to in a post on Facebook as respectful, secondary safety screening.
No bags larger than 12" by 16" will be allowed in the Pioneer Center going forward.
The Pioneer Center says these measures are part of their commitment to attendee safety.
The venue recommends that those attending shows plan enough time to complete entry screening.
Anyone with questions or concerns about new policies is encouraged to contact the Pioneer Center at boxoffice@pioneercenter.com, (775) 686-6600, or at their website, pioneercenter.com.
