People in the North Valleys may hear loud jets and planes in addition to the usual airport traffic and might wonder what it is all about. Rest assured, organizers say, it is all in preparation for Reno's first air show, and all the planes are flying within FAA safety margins and are safe.
The Reno Air Show will kick off on Friday at the Reno Stead Airport as a celebration of aviation in the community.Â
Organizers say the Reno Air Show is a 60th Celebration, to honor the people and the places that made the last six decades possible, because the past 60 years could not have happened without its fans.
The US Navy Blue Angels, the Canadian Snowbirds and the USAF F-16 Viper Demonstration Team will all be here in Reno over the weekend to bring what event organizers say will be an incredible air show experience.Â
Organizers say the 2024 Reno Air Show will be the only show in North America this year with both the Blue Angels and the Snowbirds!
The show begins on Friday October 4 and goes through Sunday, October 6.Â
