This year's respiratory virus season has wrapped up. In our region, the flu appeared to be the biggest driving force behind it.
Northern Nevada Public Health says Washoe County reported 26 influenza-related deaths and more than 500 related hospitalizations.
RSV cases peaked later than usual.
All together, Washoe County reported more than 1,700 lab-confirmed cases.
That is considered a moderate amount, and is down from the last few years.
COVID saw its quietest season since its emergence, with 120 hospitalizations and eight deaths.
