Reno Ice's rink will temporarily close next month to replace the current ice ahead of its hockey season.
The arena says, "it's a much-needed maintenance break to ensure that come hockey season, we have a renovated ice sheet that supports our growing number of programs and participants."
The closure is expected to take place July 10-August 2.
Because they say the replacement will occur in stages, Reno Ice will update the community on any closure extensions beyond August 2.
"We will miss you during our closure, of course, but will open back up better than ever before. Thank you, as always, for your patience and support as we continue to evolve our community ice arena!"
