The Reno Police Department Traffic Division issued dozens of citations and warnings while conducting pedestrian and school zone safety operations in February.
During these operations, officers issued 91 traffic citations and gave 36 warnings, according to a release from the Reno Police Department.
Operations ran from February 3 through February 28 and were carried out with the assistance of a grant provided by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.
Eight officers conducted the enforcement operations, focused either within the designated Pedestrian Safety Zones in the downtown area or within an active school zone.
School zones were selected based on public input.
