The Reno Police Department Traffic Division wrote 81 tickets and gave 26 warnings during pedestrian safety operations in February.

Eight officers conducted the operations throughout February, according to a release from the Reno Police Department.

Operations were carried out either within designated pedestrian safety zones in the downtown area or areas of high pedestrian traffic. 

Efforts were focused on drivers and pedestrians who were breaking laws that improve pedestrian safety.

RPD was able to conduct the operations with help from a grant provided by the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.
