The Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County is offering free rides on Saturday in honor of the 35th Anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.
RTC offers transport services through its ACCS|ESS program for people who meet ADA eligibility criteria, the commission said in a press release.
The commission is also working on ADA-compliant improvements on road projects.
“At RTC we work daily to make sure our disabled community is served with kindness, empathy and efficiency across all of our transit services, and that their needs are considered in our road projects,” RTC Director of Public Transportation Jim Gee said in the release.
