The Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Washoe County is providing free transportation across all RTC transit services on Tuesday, November 5 for Election Day.
"Public transit is a convenient way to reach your polling location of choice," said Jim Gee, Public Transportation Director for RTC. "With the Transit app, you can even set a reminder on your phone for when you need to leave to catch the bus."
RTC and Keolis are excited to help the community exercise their right to vote and introduce them to the public transit system.
"At Keolis, we know how important transit is to millions of Americans, whether it is getting to a doctor’s appointment, picking up groceries or getting to work,” said Don Swain, general manager of Keolis Reno operations. "In the last three elections, there have been increases in ridership and our team is proud to play an important role for riders exercising their right to vote. We look forward to getting riders to voting booths safely and reliably."
Not all polling locations are served by RTC transit - plan your trip to the polls on Election Day in advance at the RTC Washoe County website, or by downloading the Transit app for iOS or Android.
