Reno Police have arrested a juvenile following a gang-related investigation.
Police say they responded to Verdin Place early Monday evening for the report of two suspects, one armed with a handgun and the other with a knife.
When officers arrived, they learned that the suspects had fled into a nearby home.
Detectives from the Regional Gang Unit were called in to help.
Four people total eventually left the home and cooperated with officers who were allowed to search the residence with a K9.
They say although no guns were found, they did find a knife hidden inside a laundry basket that was used during the alleged assault.
Eventually, a 16-year-old boy was arrested and booked on charges of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and a probation violation.
Investigators say they also recovered an unrelated BB gun from a separate home that had been featured in gang-related social media posts.
The investigation remains ongoing.
