The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office announced in a Facebook post that the Trauma Intervention Program of Northern Nevada (TIP) is currently seeking committed and compassionate individuals to join its volunteer emergency response crisis team in Washoe County.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, TIP volunteers are called by law enforcement, fire, and medical personnel to provide immediate emotional and practical support to victims, survivors, and their loved ones in the aftermath of traumatic events.

“Volunteers make a real difference in the lives of our community members when they need it most,” the Sheriff’s Office stated in the post. “When the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office deputies are called to someone’s worst day, TIP is often right there with us, offering comfort, compassion, and practical help when it matters most.”
