On Friday night, officers with the Truckee Police Department responded to a single-vehicle crash where speed and alcohol were factors.
During an investigation of the crash, officials found that the driver was under the influence.
The truck involved was traveling so fast that it left the road and went airborne, striking a tree so hard that it broke the tree midway up.
The passenger in the truck suffered injuries, and the driver was arrested for felony driving under the influence.
