MAY 28, 6:16 P.M. UPDATE:

The Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office has identified three people who died following a crash in the area of McCarran Boulevard and Skyline Boulevard on Sunday.

18-year-old Sparks resident Israel Lerma-Flores and 17-year-old Reno resident Jesse Bravo were both pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

17-year-old Yerington resident Adrian Morales was transported to Renown Regional Medical Center and died on Wednesday.

The cause and manner of death for all three decedents is pending further investigation.

The Reno Police Department is handling the law enforcement investigation for these cases.

A third person has died following a crash early Sunday morning that has already claimed the lives of two others.

The crash happened in the area of McCarran Boulevard and Skyline Boulevard around 3:45 a.m. on Sunday.

ORIGINAL ARTICLE (MAY 25):

The Reno Police Department has released information about a crash that happened early Sunday morning in west Reno.

At around 3:45 a.m., crews from the Reno Police Department, Reno Fire Department and REMSA were dispatched to McCarran Boulevard in the area of Skyline Drive for a crash.

Reports said that a vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, and that multiple people had been ejected in the crash.

According to officials, a good Samaritan pulled several of the burning vehicle's occupants to safety, but three people needed to be brought to the hospital for minor to moderate injuries.

Two people were pronounced dead on scene.

The identities of the deceased are being withheld until notifications can be made to family.

McCarran Boulevard between Skyline Drive and Caughlin Parkway was closed in both directions after the crash, but was reopened around 12:15 pm. with no controls.

The Reno Police Major Accident Investigation Team is handling the investigation, and have shared that speed and impairment appear to be factors in this crash.
