A midday crash at the intersection of Sun Valley Boulevard and 2nd Avenue sent two drivers to the hospital on Friday.Â
NHP says the call came in at 11:49 a.m. Troopers arrived on scene and say two cars were involved in the crash.
Both drivers were taken to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
A preliminary investigation found that one car was heading north on Sun Valley and attempted a left turn on a flashing yellow light. The car failed to yield to oncoming traffic and struck a southbound car, according to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol division.
The intersection was closed for the investigation but has since reopened.
