Governor Joe Lombardo has announced a two-hour delay for the opening of state government offices in Carson, Douglas, Storey, and Washoe counties due to ongoing severe weather.

Heavy snowfall and high winds have created hazardous driving conditions across Northern Nevada, according to the Nevada Department of Transportation (NDOT) and the Department of Public Safety (DPS).

As a result, state government offices in these areas will open at 10:00 AM today, Thursday, February 19, 2026.

Governor Lombardo urges all Nevadans to drive cautiously and follow guidance from local officials as adverse weather conditions persist in the region. Check NVRoads.com for the latest traffic updates and road conditions.

Meanwhile, the Storey County Clerk’s Office Vehicle Registration Window (DMV) is closed on Feb. 19, 2026. All other County offices remain open at this time.
