Sparks Police are investigating after two men were found dead inside a home on Satellite Drive in what detectives believe was a murder-suicide.
Officers responded to a home on Satellite Drive in Sparks around 7:14 p.m. on October 15 after a person reported not hearing from the resident for several days and went to check on him, according to the department.
When police arrived, they found evidence that several gunshots had been fired inside the home, along with multiple firearms. Detectives were called to take over the investigation.
Based on the evidence collected, investigators believe both men died as a result of a murder-suicide. Police said the men were not related but lived at the home together.
The deceased men have been identified as 78-year-old James Smith and 31-year-old Jaleel Martin.
Police said there is no threat to the community and no further details will be released.
