Lane closures will occur along State Route 28 in Tahoe City, between Jackpine Street and Commons Beach Road.

Crews will be working on October 15 and 16 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

This is all due to the Caltrans Pavement Rehabilitation Project, a $31.7 million investment.

Caltrans District 3 says, will be raising utilities, curb ramps, minor electrical work, and striping on the lanes.

Access points to cross streets and driveways will remain open; however, no street parking will be allowed in the construction zone.

Traffic will also detour onto Lake Boulevard bypass to access SR 89 and SR 28.

West Lake Boulevard will remain open for business and the Tahoe City Transit Center access, but the Fanny Bridge will be closed, according to Caltrans District 3.

The pedestrian and bicycle path across the Truckee River Dam will remain open throughout the project.
