Original Story (3/20/2025):

Due to a deadly crash on Thursday, U.S. 50 near Glenbrook was closed in both directions for several hours.

According to the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Division, the crash happened at around 6 a.m. on U.S. 50 at mile marker 10, one mile east of Glenbrook in Douglas County.

Troopers say a silver Toyota Tacoma traveling eastbound in the westbound lane struck a Subaru Crosstrek traveling westbound.

One person died in the crash, and three other people were injured.

Troopers could not confirm if the driver of the Toyota crossed over the line or was driving in the wrong direction, but they do believe impairment to be a factor.

According to Nevada Department of Transportation, in an online post U.S. 50 is now back open in both directions.

This is an open investigation, and we will keep you informed as new information becomes available.
