A Reno couple is gaining local attention as they enter the final rounds of a national contest with a $20,000 prize and a feature in Variety magazine.
Brice and Kyleigh, who were both born and raised in Reno, are currently competing in the America’s Favorite Couple competition and are placed 3rd in their group as of today.
The couple shared that they have been together for two years and are currently living with Brice’s family.
“If my boyfriend and I won the money, we would use it to move out and start our lives together,” Kyleigh said. “We’ve been living with his family for the whole two years we’ve been together, and would love nothing more to have it just be me and him.”
The competition is now entering a critical phase. Voting from July 31 through August 7 will narrow the field to one winner in each group, who will then move on to the quarterfinals.
Quarterfinal voting takes place from August 11 to August 21 and will select one couple per group for the semifinals.
The final round of voting, scheduled from August 29 to September 4, will determine the national winner.

“We entered America’s Favorite Couple competition, and we're 1st place so far,” Kyleigh said in an earlier message. “He means the entire world to me. I’ve never been more grateful to have someone like him in my early twenties.”
The couple hopes the community will rally behind them as they compete for the top spot.
