SEPTEMBER 22 UPDATE:

A suspect who is accused of mistreating a dog, with the alleged activity being caught on tape, has been located and is facing charges.

Washoe County Regional Animal Services got a tip that led to them locating the dog, Prince, and a suspect identified as Miguel Olier, according to a post from Washoe County on Facebook.

Olier is facing animal cruelty charges for the incident.

Prince is currently safe in WCRAS’ custody, where he will remain until this case is complete.

Washoe County Regional Animal Services is asking for help finding a suspect in an ongoing animal cruelty investigation.

The case involves an incident that happened on Wednesday, September 3, on Nichols Boulevard in Sparks, and involves a black, long-haired Chihuahua/Spaniel mix named Prince, according to a release from WCRAS.

Prince weighs around 13 and a half pounds and is missing his right hind leg.

The suspect is believed to be Miguel Olier, according to WCRAS.

He is around five feet, nine inches tall and in his mid-40s. He is believed to be in the Reno/Sparks area and may be unhoused or staying at various short-term locations.

It is unknown if Prince is still in Olier’s possession.
