The Washoe County School District is inviting families in the Reno-Sparks area to a free Family Wellness & Resource Fair this Wednesday.
The fair will take place in Reno at O'Brien Middle School, located at 5000 Silver Lake Road, from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m.
The event will offer wellness screenings, dental checkups for children and adults, vaccines, free food from the Mobile Harvest Truck, and assistance with Medicaid and SNAP applications.
Vaccines and dental screenings are available to all attendees, regardless of insurance.
The fair is hosted by the WCSD North Valleys Family Resource Center and supported by community partners, including Anthem Medicaid, Doctoroo, Food Bank of Northern Nevada, SilverSummit Healthplan, Molina Healthcare of Nevada, and Liberty Dental Plan.
People with Medicaid can schedule a wellness appointment through Doctoroo by selecting “October 22” and a time between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. For assistance with scheduling, call (775) 227-5031.
