The Washoe County Sheriff's Office Human Exploitation and Recovery Operations (H.E.R.O.) Team recently finished up a multi-day operation.
The operation was focused on recovering human trafficking victims, providing contacts for advocacy and enforcing human trafficking-related laws in the region.
Conducted from April 2 through April 4, the team was able to facilitate the recovery of nine people identified as victims of human trafficking.
The operation also netted one misdemeanor arrest, started the investigation of a domestic battery case and started two new human trafficking case.
