The Carson City Sheriff's Office held the 5th annual Carson City Sheriff's Office K9 Unit Challenge Saturday.
The annual competition invites K9 teams from across the region to participate in a series of events designed to showcase the skills they train for throughout the year.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office participated. “The skills demonstrated during this competition are the same skills our K9 teams rely on every day while assisting with narcotics investigations, locating suspects, conducting searches, and supporting our deputies in the field,” said Sheriff Darin Balaam. “I am incredibly proud of our handlers and their K9 partners for the work they put into their training and the way they continue to represent WCSO and serve our community.”
