Firefighters stopped a wildland fire that was sparked by a house fire in Quincy, California, Saturday afternoon.
It happened on Kelsey Lane just after 2 p.m.
The Path Fire began as a structure fire before spreading into nearby wildland. The U.S. Forest Service said the fire had a high potential for growth, but an aggressive response from firefighters kept it to less than an acre.
Several agencies responded to the fire, including Quincy Volunteer Fire Department, Meadow Valley Volunteer Fire Department, Greenville Indian Rancheria, Plumas County Sheriff’s Office, California Highway Patrol, CAL FIRE, U.S. Forest Service Air Attack from Chester, and Plumas National Forest firefighters.
The Quincy Volunteer Fire Department is now working with the family affected by the fire and connecting them with resources from the Red Cross.
