The snow has dropped, and now Wildside Tahoe Tubing Center at Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe is ready to open.
The Tubing Center will be open on Tuesday, December 30, to invite people for snow play and tubing. The center's hours are daily from 8:30 a.m. through 4:30 p.m. from December 30 through January 4.
According to organizers, the center features 20 snow tubing lanes that are 750-feet long with a dual conveyor lift.
“Wildslide Tahoe Tubing is going to offer guests of all ages a fun opportunity to play in the snow, and we’re thrilled to celebrate its grand opening,” said Mike Pierce, Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe marketing director. “This new facility is going to make it easy for people to be introduced to an exhilarating winter experience, and with five feet of new snow over the past few days, Wildslide and Mt. Rose Ski Tahoe are dialed up for winter!”
People who are looking to warm up while visiting can find food and beverage service, including hot cocoa, at the Wildslide Lodge, organizers say. There are also apres beverages available for guests aged 21 and older. There's also plenty of parking, direct access to tubing lanes, and it's near the Mt. Rose Main Lodge entrance.
Organizers say sessions are sold in two-hour increments, with sessions starting every 15 minutes.
For online ticket purchases, they are offered one day in advance. Tickets can be purchased at their website.
