Sparks Police say local law enforcement agencies have seen an increase in calls for service related to juveniles playing games called 'Senior Assassins' and 'The Purge.'
They say these games involve kids and teens meeting at a location and shooting each other using Orbeez guns.
Orbeez guns shoot water-absorbent polymer beads, but police say they're easily mistaken for real guns.
Sparks Police say they've received numerous calls from citizens who see the games and assume the guns are real.
Emergency responders have also been called to incidents involving people being injured after being struck by the projectiles.
Sparks Police are encouraging parents to speak with their children about the potential dangers and unintended consequences associated with this type of activity.
