A 15-year-old girl who went missing from Yerington in June has been found. 

Lyon County deputies say the Regional Human Trafficking and Exploitation Unit (HEAT) located Natalie Mays in the Reno area.

Mays was transported to the Jan Evans Juvenile Justice Center in Reno where she will be charged with being a runaway. 

This case has been referred to the Juvenile Division Lyon County District Attorney’s Office for further action.

There's no immediate information on the man initially reported to be with her.

Update, July 22:

In an update from the Lyon County Sheriff's Office, Natalie Mays is still missing.

They also believe Mays and Bishop are no longer on the run together, saying Mays "ditched" him after a press release came out.

Update, July 16:

Deputies are still looking for 15-year-old Natalie Mays.

They believe she may be in the Reno or Sun Valley area.

Natalie's stepmom shared the following message with the hopes that she will see it and reach out:

“Natalie, your father and I are extremely worried for you, and we just need to know that you are okay. We all love and miss you deeply”.

Lyon County deputies need your help finding a suspected runaway teen girl, who may be with a Reno man.

Deputies 15-year-old Natalie Mays was last seen at home in Yerington on June 22nd and may be with 19-year-old Matthew Bishop.

The teens were seen in Reno on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies say Bishop is aware that Mays is a runaway and say he is actively helping her avoid law enforcement. Authorities say they are dating each other.

Mays is white, 5’5” inches tall, 150 pounds with black hair and green eyes.

There’s no current description of her clothing.
