Lyon County Board of Commissioners approved more than $6 million last week to several government agencies and non-profits thanks to the American Rescue Plan Act.
Commissioners say they received over $16 million in requests with only $6.1 million to allocate, so three entities were denied because their projects did not meet the requirements of ARPA.
Commissioners also say that "several entities were partially funded with a smaller number fully funded and several that were not funded."
