Two semi-trucks and a sedan were involved in a crash causing major traffic backups on I-80 westbound.

The crash happened at mile marker 27 west of Patrick at around 7 p.m.

Two semis and a Honda Civic were involved in the crash, which caused property damage but no injuries according to a spokesperson for the Nevada State Police.

The crash has caused hours long delays, largely because crews have had to get heavy duty tow trucks to tow the semis, and conditions across the region are extremely icy.

Separate from the crash but happening in the same area and adding to the backups, three additional semis are stuck in the ice and snow and blocking the roadway.

A traffic camera at the Patrick exit on I-80 confirms the backups, which extend past traffic cameras at the Tracy-Clark exit.
