Michael B. Jordan has won the best-actor Oscar for his role in “Sinners.” He plays identical twins Smoke and Stack in the supernatural horror film set in 1930s Mississippi that earned a record 16 Oscar nominations. Jordan is the sixth Black man to win an Oscar for best actor, adding his name to a list that includes Sidney Poitier and Denzel Washington. “Sinners” reunited Jordan and writer-producer-director Ryan Coogler, who go back to their first collaboration in 2020. The ceremony was Sunday night.
