The U.S. government is set to announce the certification of Boeing's 737 Max 10 jet after years of delays. A Transportation Department official told The Associated Press that Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy plans to announce the decision Tuesday during a visit to Boeing's manufacturing plant in Everett, Washington. The 737 Max 10 was introduced in 2017 and faced technical and safety-related concerns that slowed its certification. This certification would mark a milestone in Boeing’s efforts to restore its reputation. The new model is designed to carry more people while using less fuel, appealing to airlines facing high jet fuel costs.
