British Prime Minister Andy Burnham says Iran’s Revolutionary Guard almost certainly directed a plot to attack a U.S.-run military air base in England. Police arrested seven men in connection with the alleged plan to target RAF Fairford, but all suspects have been released on bail. Authorities found gasoline but no explosives in the suspects' vehicles. Iran denies involvement, although it considers any base used to attack its territory a legitimate target. The U.K. has added two Iranians to its sanctions list, accusing them of conducting espionage and attacks on behalf of Iran in Europe and the U.S.
