A powerful 7.4-magnitude earthquake has struck western Colombia, causing serious damage to buildings and prompting evacuations as far away as Bogota. The regional governor reports injuries but doesn't specify the number. The epicenter of Monday's quake is in San Jose Del Palmar, about 250 miles west of Bogota. The quake hits at a depth of 66 miles. Footage shows homes and buildings collapsing in cities like Pereira, Cali, and Quibdo. Colombian President Abelardo de la Espriella says he will personally oversee recovery efforts. The quake is also felt in neighboring Ecuador.
