Alzheimer's Foundation of America

The Country music star Jason Aldean is teaming up with the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America (AFA) to help raise awareness and funds for the battle against Alzheimer’s and dementia.

Jason Aldean released a new song called “Help You Remember”, which was inspired by his personal experience of having family members live with dementia-related illnesses.

Aldean announced in a podcast that his uncle passed away last year from Lewy body dementia and that he has another family member currently living with dementia, and that those experiences influenced his songwriting.

According to AFA, the song highlights the fight by reminding people they're not alone facing both or either Alzheimer’s and dementia.

AFA President & CEO Charles J. Fuschillo says, “Jason Aldean is using his voice and the power of music to remind families caring for loved ones with dementia that they are not alone and that help and support are available. One of country music’s biggest stars sharing his personal experiences of how dementia impacted his family is an enormously powerful and effective way to reinforce that message and raise awareness,”

Fuschillo also says, “We’re immensely grateful for everything he is doing to support AFA and families affected by dementia-related illnesses.”

"Help You Remember" is part of the upcoming album, "Songs About Us".

According to AFA officials, Aldean is encouraging people to connect with support services through AFA and donate to support the foundation.
