Gov. Greg Abbott says there has been “one loss of life” in the catastrophic flooding sweeping across Texas Hill Country. Abbot says drones and helicopters are flying over the region still recovering from devastating floods just a year ago. He says the focus is on saving lives. Rescuers have been plucking stranded drivers and people trapped in homes since floodwaters began rising quickly overnight Thursday. Abbott has issued disaster declarations for multiple counties.
