Two Colorado college students have been found dead after going missing during a weekend hiking trip in the Rocky Mountains. Kaden Matsuda and Jackson Donlon, both outdoor enthusiasts, set out last Friday from Colorado Mountain College Leadville’s campus for a weekend trip to Ice Mountain. The Chaffee County Sheriff’s Office reported severe weather, including heavy snow, during their trip. Their bodies were discovered Wednesday in a basin of West Apostle Mountain. The men were expected back by Sunday, but were reported missing Monday morning. Their tent was found Tuesday collapsed under the snow with their belongings inside. The college community is mourning their loss, remembering them as promising and passionate individuals.
