Many prominent people are paying tribute to Rob Reiner and his wife Michele, after they were killed in their Los Angeles home on Sunday. Former President Barack Obama says Reiner had a deep belief in the goodness of people. Actor Josh Gad says they were two of the most kind and caring souls you could ever imagine. California Gov. Gavin Newsom called Reiner the big-hearted genius behind so many of the classic stories we love. Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass and former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi both call the loss devastating. Paul Walter Hauser says Reiner's film “A Few Good Men” is the reason he became an actor.
Reiner, known for directing films like “This is Spinal Tap” and “A Few Good Men,” was 78. He was married to Michele since 1989.
