President Donald Trump plans to use his State of the Union to argue his agenda has sparked a boom in jobs and U.S. manufacturing. The White House released excerpts Tuesday before he began speaking that show him promising more factory production, investment and jobs. Trump will also defend immigration crackdowns and efforts to shrink the federal government. When his full speech begins, Trump is expected to criticize a Supreme Court ruling blocking his sweeping global tariff policies. He also plans to highlight quick military actions abroad, including Iran and Venezuela. Democrats plan a rebuttal and some party members are skipping the speech.
