Thailand's coastal city of Pattaya is preparing for a visit by the USS Abraham Lincoln, as the aircraft carrier makes its way back to the U.S. following a grueling deployment in the Middle East. Thai government officials hope the ship’s port call this week will boost Pattaya's local economy. The city is preparing a warm welcome as well as a stronger police presence during the visit. The aircraft carrier supported the U.S. war against Iran and set a record with over 250 days at sea, as concerns grew about the crew’s mental health and supply shortages.
