Americans are casting ballots on the final day of voting in the U.S. midterms with relatively few issues so far. As of Tuesday afternoon, the biggest problems affecting voting were weather-related, with flooding in Florida and parts of the Southwest leading to polling location changes. In New York's Westchester County, where some voters are casting ballots in a competitive U.S. House race, an issue with ballot scanners accepting paper ballots required ballots to be diverted to emergency bags for later counting. In Florida's Broward County, a voting system issue as polls opened was resolved within 20 minutes, but led to some voters leaving prematurely. The final day of voting comes as President Donald Trump has been escalating efforts to interfere in how states run their elections.
