Vice President JD Vance says he supports investigations into possible election fraud by Democratic Alaska U.S. Senate candidate Mary Peltola’s campaign. The New York Times reports Peltola’s team may have recruited a candidate with the same name as Republican incumbent Dan Sullivan to confuse voters. Vance says Peltola is "trying to steal a Senate seat.” Alaska Republican Gov. Mike Dunleavy has ordered an investigation. Dunleavy said Thursday on social media, “Deliberately tricking voters into casting their ballots for someone else strikes at the integrity of our elections.” President Donald Trump has called for Peltola's prosecution. Peltola dismisses the allegations as a distraction from key issues.
