Yosemite Fire Helicopter Crash

Officials say two helicopter pilots have been killed in a crash while battling a wildfire at Yosemite National Park in California. The pilots were the only people aboard the aircraft when it went down Sunday afternoon. They were employees of a contract aircraft company, Precision, which expressed deep sorrow over the loss. The Alaska Division of Forestry & Fire Protection identified one of the pilots as former Division employee Greg King. The pilots were conducting water drops on the fire when they crashed. The Dome Fire is currently being fought by about 580 people. It started Sept. 15 and has burned approximately 4.7 square miles. The fire is 15% contained.
