Six Republicans who falsely claimed that former president Donald Trump won the 2020 election are the subjects of an investigation by the Nevada Attorney General.
Attorney General Aaron Ford is investigating the six, who submitted a fake election document to congress declaring then President Trump to be the winner of the 2020 election.
2 News is working to determine if the case is a criminal or civil matter, but the investigation joins a list of investigations into fake electors across swing states won by President Biden, including investigations in Georgia, Michigan and Arizona.
While the AG didn't respond to request for comment from the Associated press, he has said previously that his office is working with the Justice Department's investigation of attempts to keep the former president in office.
