The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) approved the Spring Valley Gold Mine Project on Tuesday, July 15.
The mine will be headed up by Solidus Resources, LLC and the mining will be conducted on public and private lands approximately 20 miles northeast of Lovelock.
Solidus has been approved to construct, operate and maintain an open-pit gold mine, three waste rock facilities and a heap leach facility.
The total life of the project is set for 21 years - two years of construction, 11 years of mining, three years of ore processing and five years of reclamation and closure activities.
