First responder crews with East Fork mobilized quickly to save a person who had been thrown from their horse in the Pine Nut Mountains.
According to a recent Facebook post from East Fork Professional Firefighters, the incident happened around 15 miles into the mountains, near Sunrise Pass and Brunswick Canyon.
Officials say that five units and Care Flight were utilized in the rescue.
Crews were able to locate the injured rider, get them treated, then get the rider and horse out of the remote terrain safely.
