Van Sickle Bi-Park

The gates and facilities will close for the winter season at Van Sickle Bi-State Park starting on November 1.

Park roads and parking lots will be closed to cars trying to enter. Trash collection will also not be available during this time, and visitors are asked not to leave a trace of trash behind.

Guests will still be able to use the park grounds throughout the winter. People can continue to use the parks for day-hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing.

Park officials say sledding is not allowed in regards for public safety.

Throughout the winter season, visitors to the park will be able to gain access through the main entrance at the intersection of Heavenly Village Way and Montreal Road in South Lake Tahoe.

Park officials also say visitors who also wish to arrive in a car must park outside the park without blocking the entrance gate.
