April calendar

It's been quite the month to say the least. We have yet to hit 80 degrees for the month of April in Reno, but there is a chance of doing so on Friday. April feels more like winter than spring this year. You can thank the lack of warmth to multiple storms and associated cold fronts that have prevented us from seeing any sustained warmth. Unfortunately these systems were not strong enough to extend the ski season but were enough to keep us around normality for the month.

Our average high for the month to date has been around 64.8 degrees which is near to the all time average of 64.3 degrees. Likewise the average month to date low has been 38.3 which is practically on top of the all time average of 38.1 degrees.

The last time we hit 80 was March 25th, over a month ago. We hit 80 degrees 7 times in March, including a record-shattering high of 88 at one point. Since then it has been crickets, although we've seen some solid days in the 70s. The good news if you like warmth is that high pressure will warm us to around 80 for the first part of this weekend.
