Sparks Police said they were called at 11:18 a.m. Tuesday to a rollover crash involving four cars at Sparks Boulevard and Prater Way.

Officers said three people were injured, including one who was trapped inside a car.

The Sparks Fire Department extricated the trapped driver.

Investigators said a car traveling northbound on Sparks Boulevard ran a red light at Prater Way, causing the crash. Two of the four cars collided, which led to one of them overturning.

Two people, including the trapped driver and the at-fault driver, were taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said the driver of a third car reported no injuries. No additional information was released about the fourth car.

The at-fault driver was cited for failure to obey a traffic signal. Impairment is not believed to be a factor.

Both eastbound and westbound lanes of Prater Way were closed for an extended time while crews responded.
