One person is dead after a crash on Highway 93 in Elko County.
Nevada State Police responded to a crash about 60 miles south of Wells on Saturday, May 25 around 11:45 p.m.
Upon investigation, they say a black Ford Expedition was traveling south, while a red Ford Explorer and a silver Volkswagen Jetta were traveling north.
The driver of the Ford Expedition crossed the double yellow line and crashed into the Ford Explorer.Â
The Volkswagen Jetta then hit the Expedition on the right side, causing the Expedition to roll over the top of the Volkswagen.
The passenger in the Volkswagen was pronounced dead at the scene. All nine of the other occupants were transported to hospitals in Nevada and Utah.
The identity of the person who died is being withheld until the next of kin is notified.
The crash is being investigated by the Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (MIRT).Â
