The Washoe County coroner has identified the man who died after a shooting on El Rancho Drive in Sparks late Saturday night.
The medical examiner says 45-year-old Ervin Barton of Sparks died shortly after arriving at Renown Regional Medical Center.Â
Police say Barton and another man got into an argument and that's when shots were fired.Â
Police say the other man left the scene but called 911 to report it. Authorities say he's cooperating with the investigation.

Around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night, Sparks Police were called to an apartment at 1000 El Rancho Drive for reports of several shots and individuals screaming.
When officers got there, they found an adult man who had been shot. After REMSA and the Sparks Fire Department provided medical aid on scene, the man later died from his injuries at the hospital.
After investigating, Sparks Police detectives learned that shots were fired during an altercation between two adult men.
The other man involved left the scene but called 911 to report it. Police say that man is now cooperating with the investigation and there are no outstanding suspects.
At this time, Sparks Police are not releasing the names of the people involved or any other details surrounding the incident.
